Acne Home Remedies for Those Challenged by Zits
Remember how just before that happening party that you had to
attend, a huge zit decided to land up on your nose? Do you
remember how much (and in vain) you tried to cover it up with
make-up? Well, acne is certainly the bane of teenage life. And
while it is most common among adolescents, adults cannot escape it
either. Just when you are trying to look your best, rest assured
that an enormous pimple will land up on some prominent part of
your face!
So how do we deal with this scourge? There are all kinds of acne
home remedies that claim to work wonders for one's skin. From
lemon juice to tea tree oil to garlic cloves to toothpaste,
everyone has different acne home remedies to suggest. Note that it
is tough to permanently eliminate acne. However, it is not all
that difficult to prevent.
Acne Home Remedies: The Cleanliness Factor
Cleanliness is the first thing that should be kept in mind when on
a mission to control acne. The skin is constantly being bombarded
by all kinds of pollutants, dust particles, over-exposure to the
sun, and so on. So make it a point to cleanse your skin
thoroughly. Steaming your face would open up the pores, making it
easier to deal with blackheads and whiteheads. Thereafter, shut
those pores by rinsing with ice cold water. Drinking lots of water
is recommended if one is looking to maintain a healthy skin.
Adding a lot of fruit to your diet would also help you keep your
system clean.
Popular Acne Home Remedies
One of the many acne home remedies that I came across was that of
washing one's face in warm salty water to remove excess oil. Among
the acne home remedies that I swear by is that of dabbing the face
with rose water about thrice a day. I did read that toothpaste is
a great cure for acne, but I don't know anyone who has used it.
Aloe vera and tea tree oil are also helpful in getting rid of
acne. So the next time that you are shopping for a face wash, look
for products that contain one of these two ingredients.

Acne Home Remedies From the Kitchen
The kitchen is a great place to find terrific acne home remedies.
You could apply a paste of fenugreek leaves before you go to bed
at night. Grated cucumber is also a cool and effective remedy for
pimples. Apply it on your face for fifteen minutes and you will
definitely feel a difference.
Applying lemon juice on zits is also believed to be quite
effective, as is applying a blend of ground orange peel and water
to the affected areas.

If you belong to a garlic-loving family there are bound to be
quite a few garlic cloves lying around. Rubbing raw garlic on a
pimple or a zit is believed to be an effective way to make the
acne problem go away. However, I would advise that you apply it
sparingly as garlic causes a burning sensation.
Acne Home Remedies: Taking Care
Remember that acne is most often the result of dirt. We cannot
completely avoid the pollution and dust on the roads. However, we
can make sure that our skin is squeaky clean, our hair is
dandruff-free, and our pillowcases washed often. A good diet can
also make a world of difference. So if you are having a bout of
acne, steer clear of pickles, fries and other oily foods for a
while. If you follow a good cleansing routine and a balanced diet
while also following one of the many acne home remedies that suits
you best, those ugly zits will soon become things of the past!
